If you were to tell 3 year old me that I would be working in sports, let alone in the sport i grew up watching and playing, I probably wouldn't believe you.
Happy National Girls and Women in Sports Day! Little did i know that sports would change my life forever #NGWSD2024
going from no girls locker rooms and putting on hockey gear in a random bathroom or storage closet as a kid to watching womens hockey sellout the td garden…
what a special moment.
"I'd do whatever for these kids. And as long as my mom's proud of everything I'm doing, that's a win for me as well."
Michigan State’s Armorion Smith's life changed in an instant when his mother Gala Gilliam died in 2024. He honors her by being a D-I athlete, a student and by caring for his siblings ❤️

Just wrote a piece on Sarah, a student zamboni driver at Munn. Telling her story was a reminder of why I’ve loved working at Munn these past four years—some of my best college memories were made there. This one really brought it all full circle with the coolest person I know.
I grew up on the ice playing on boys’ teams, being one of the few girls in the rink, and having to prove I belonged. Writing this story about women playing hockey felt like coming full circle — honoring the past, celebrating the present, and carving space for the future.

It’s our last episode of the year! Michigan State Baseball eyes a Big Ten tournament spot. Men’s Tennis looked to make history of the Michigan Wolverines. Softball looked to add on more big ten wins. Thank you for running in all year and we’ll see you for more coverage of MSU athletics in the fall!

I met Lindsay my freshman year of college working at Munn Ice Arena and I thought I knew everything about her from working with her for four years. But talking in depth with her and writing this article made me see the real Lindsay Hunt and I’m proud to call her my friend.
"Gosh that stupid motto, it sounded so cliche at the beginning of the year, 'strength in numbers', and 'be different' but it held us together the whole year and it helped us get to where we went."
Carson Cooper reflects on the season, specifically the bond this team had.
