A problem the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has had for decades?

IRS administration giving the perception that their primary function is one of law enforcement, and not taxpayer rights.

~85% of people file their taxes voluntarily, and yet the agency treats them like the 15%.

🔥The European Blockchain Sandbox has recently selected it's second cohort.

As you could imagine, everyone here's industry focused.

Of all 20 names listed, only 4 in the public DLT space.

These are $IOTA $TRAC $CHEQ $MNW.

Each will be directly participating in the EU's sandbox.

This is a massive advancement for the EU in blockchain as a whole with this being the latest stage of the EBSI's industry focused testing on blockchain.

Lets now look at each of their roles.

With IOTA we can see they've been added as a consortium with various other entities.

Their focus much like Cheqd's inclusion here, will be focused on Digital IDs.

IOTA is directly providing the DLT infrastructure for this solution here with the other entities involved around verification.

Here's a quick breakdown of the moving parts in this specific initiative.

IOTA: The DLT infrastructure
IDNow: Seamless compliant verification
WaltID: Tokenizing ID verification process
Bloom: Provides secure wallet platform
HAVN: Interchain communication

We've seen IOTA collaborate and build with various governments over the past year such as UAE & Africa.

But when it comes to the EU we've seen IOTA closely working with the EBSI since early on.

Keep in mind they were one of the few that made it to the final Phase 2B of the EBSI PCP trials!

Next let's look at OriginTrail & their involvement.

While the Decentralized Knowledge Graph of OriginTrail is quite versatile, it seems the EU is specifically looking to use the network for AI related operations.

They specifically highlight the OriginTrail teams commitment towards building a safe AI environment.

The EU also highlights how the network's entirely powered by the $TRAC token itself.

Not something you see many regulators say.

While the description for how it'll be used in this sandbox is relatively vague we can be sure of one thing,

OriginTrail has already connected with the EU prior, with their most recent involvement for cross-organization real-time data integration in the EU funded DMaaST project.

Next we've got Cheqd, much like what we saw with IOTA they've also joined as a consortium like collaboration as another Digital ID related solution.

But theres a key difference in the components of Digital IDs that Cheqd & their collaborators are working on.

As we can see, this consortium is spearheaded by Netis, Danube, Cheqd & Soverio.

Rather than building another Digital ID solution they are working on creating a ledger agnostic method to trust registries & overall verifiable credentials.

This is an incredibly underlooked part of Digital IDs.

It doesn't matter how great or how many solutions we build if the trust registries and credentials are all siloed.

This is something Cheqd realized early on and in return we've seen them build to ensure compatibility and interoperability with other ID verification systems.

This is largely done by compliance and building inline with industry standards such as W3C Digital ID.

Additionally they further highlight how this solution is actually building upon the EBSI's trust chain model by building a universal trust registry.

The fact they're building further on the EBSI's vision says a lot to how the EU is seeing them.

Finally they highlight their work to ensure best practice approach with frameworks like eIDAS & EUDI.

Both regulatory frameworks created by the EU itself!

We've seen Cheqd build to ensure industry alignment over the past few years & it's now starting to pay off.

They're now working with the EU itself as one of the prime verifiable credential solutions.

Last but certainly not least is Morpheus Network.

They're bringing a solution they've built in conjunction with their partner ReLOG3P.

As we know Morpheus Network is a supply chain middleware solution that's fully tech agnostic.

This means whether it's a cloud database, ERP/CRM systems or a blockchain... Morpheus Network's middleware can make them all work together.

On the other hand ReLOG3P is an Italian based company offering services around global trade in an ESG compliant manner.

Together they're building a fully automated certificate management system for the EU.

This will be done via a distributed cloud based access portal for stakeholders to collaborate together.

The platform will include things like digital documents for verification and signing solutions like DocuSign.

With each verified document it is then logged into the Ethereum or Hyperledger chain.

Once again, further showing the agnostic capabilities of Morpheus Network's middleware.

In this case it's visible in both the cloud based access system and the use of both a public Ethereum & a private Hyperledger Fabric.

Finally, they highlight the focus and alignment with the goals of the EU for sustainable developments which of course includes digital trade.

While Morpheus Network remains quite under the radar in terms of crypto popularity, the right eyes are on them.

The EU is really starting to ramp up their involvement with DLT infrastructure.

To see these 4 projects included really speaks volumes to them individually as we get closer to the full adoption of MiCA come December 2024.

$IOTA $TRAC $CHEQ $MNW are now leading that race!
