What does Abu Dhabi want?

The UAE is no longer content with a prosperous economic role, but has, in recent years, rushed to play a geopolitical role that exceeds its natural size, in an attempt to impose itself as a pivotal state in the region. In light of the tensions in relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, particularly concerning the situation in southern Yemen, it is essential to distinguish between the Kingdom's relationship with the Emirates in general and the Kingdom's stance on Abu Dhabi's practices. It is equally essential to differentiate between the Kingdom's position on Abu Dhabi's policies and the bonds of brotherhood and solidarity that unite the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the people of the United Arab Emirates.
Needless to say, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has absolutely no problem with the United Arab Emirates. Its major and sole problem is with Abu Dhabi and with those blinded by their hatred, jealousy, and envy, who have accepted being a dagger in the side of the Arab nation and a foolish tool ridden by Zionism to achieve its ambitions in the region and across the Arab world
It goes without saying that the Saudi people hold nothing but affection, brotherhood, and respect for the Emirati people, including the citizens of Abu Dhabi. They hold the Emirati people in their hearts, just as he holds all Arab and Muslim peoples in his heart.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was the originator of the idea of unifying the Emirates. It was also the greatest supporter of their independence, whether on the political and diplomatic level or on the financial and material level. Every student of modern Gulf history knows that King Faisal bin Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him – was the architect of the Emirates' independence and unification. It is regrettable that the Kingdom’s long history of support, assistance, and care for the Emirates over decades has been met by Abu Dhabi only with ingratitude, denial, and the perpetuation of grudges and conspiracies against the Kingdom and the Arab world.
To set the record straight, it is necessary to clarify that there are three main factors that contributed to the crystallization of Abu Dhabi’s position, which can be summarized as follows:
First. Abu Dhabi's animosity and its festering rehashing of old, outdated historical events. In a document leaked by WikiLeaks in November 2010, Mohammed bin Zayed (then Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi) was quoted as saying on July 31, 2006: "The UAE fought 57 wars against the Saudis. The Saudis are not my dear friends."
Leaked conversations also revealed his statement: "The long-standing disputes of the past still cast a shadow over the present between the UAE and Saudi Arabia." In a WikiLeaks document dated April 2008, it was noted that Mohammed bin Zayed held a meeting with the US Chief of Naval Operations, General Gary Royde. Another document, dated June 25, 2008, indicates that the Emirati Foreign Minister, Abdullah bin Zayed, was inciting the Americans against the Kingdom and that he held a very negative view of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, may God have mercy on him, and that he saw no promising figures among the younger Saudi princes. Furthermore, it had become ingrained in Mohammed bin Zayed's mind that King Faisal bin Abdulaziz, may God have mercy on him, had forced his father, Sheikh Zayed, may God have mercy on him, to submit to the Kingdom's demands regarding border demarcation and the resulting political and economic consequences. The second. The intense envy and jealousy that Abu Dhabi feels, unlike the other Emirates, towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stems from God's blessings upon the Kingdom, including the presence of the Two Holy Mosques and the Holy Kaaba. It also stems from the high standing it holds, not only among Muslims but also on a global scale. Furthermore, it stems from the immense natural resources and vast lands bestowed upon it, and the intense jealousy of the massive transformations brought about by the vision of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, known as Vision 2030. The unprecedented economic, administrative, and social achievements realized in the Kingdom under this vision have diverted attention from everything Abu Dhabi used to boast about and have redirected much investment and tourism from the Emirates to the Kingdom
The third false illusion from Abu Dhabi is that the shortest path in Africa to avenge past grudges and heal feelings of jealousy and inferiority towards the Kingdom lies in embracing Zionism and accepting that the Emirates will be Israel's Trojan horse in the Arab world, hoping to use it to gain power against the Kingdom and the major Arab states. What a betrayal of God, His Messenger, and the entire nation! What stupidity and shortsightedness! Israel is on
its way to rapid demise. And the nation will remain, God willing. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was not unaware of Abu Dhabi's true stances towards it, nor of its conspiratorial steps against the Arab nation in general and the Kingdom in particular. Rather, it met offense with kindness, patiently endured harm, and responded in the best possible way, considering the interests of the region and the greater nation, hoping that the dreamers would awaken, the deluded would be guided, and these people would repent. But, unfortunately, they persisted in their folly and misguidance
In Yemen, Abu Dhabi engaged in sabotage unparalleled in modern Arab history, striving with all its might to thwart everything the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was planning and working to achieve in terms of political unity, stability, and development for the Yemeni people. In Libya, it supported the separatist minority, supplying them with money, equipment, and ammunition. It backed them with airstrikes on areas controlled by the internationally recognized legitimate government, thus deepening the wounds of the Libyan people and obstructing all national and international efforts to achieve unity and stability for Libya. In Sudan, in full coordination with the Zionist entity, it provided all kinds of support to the Rapid Support Forces militia, who spread chaos and practiced all kinds of looting, pillaging, rape, and ethnic cleansing. They destroyed all hope of returning to unity, security, and stability.
A report prepared by five UN experts and submitted last November to the Security Council's Sudan Sanctions Committee revealed that an air bridge between Emirati airports and an airport in Chad was transporting equipment and ammunition to rebels in Sudan. The report also stated that Ilyushin aircraft involved in this air bridge were switching off their transponders for extended periods during their flights. Furthermore, multiple reports have confirmed that Abu Dhabi recruited mercenaries from around the world to support rebels in Sudan, Yemen, and Libya. In Tunisia, they infiltrated like vermin, using their money to buy the loyalty of traitors, Israeli agents, and Francophone collaborators, thus shattering hopes.
The Tunisian people live in freedom, dignity, and honor. In Egypt, it exploited the difficult economic conditions that Egypt suffered and continues to suffer, infiltrating the joints of the Egyptian economy, especially the ports. It sought with all its might to acquire huge shares in major financial, industrial, and agricultural institutions and companies, including the Commercial International Bank (CIB), Bolton Financial Holding Company, Fawry Financial Technology Company, Abu Qir Fertilizers Company, Mobco Company, and Alexandria Container Handling Company (AlexCont). This is in addition to major real estate investments worth tens of billions of dollars, such as Ain al-Hilweh and others. All of this is to control the Egyptian economy and its key sectors.
As a prelude to controlling Egypt and its decisions, it conspired with Ethiopia and financially supported it to implement the Renaissance Dam, which poses the greatest strategic threat to Egypt, all in service of Israel's great ambitions.
And in Somalia, it sought with all its might to separate the north from the south and gave the Zionist entity a foothold in the African Horn, thus realizing a dream long cherished by the Zionists: to control the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and complete the encirclement of Egypt and Saudi Arabia, which is the ultimate goal for all.

The document indicated Abu Dhabi's intention to use military sites in Yemen, Eritrea, and Somalia, including Mocha, Assab, Berbera, and Bassa, as main platforms for supplying Israel with equipment, ammunition, and intelligence The Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post confirmed these facts in a report published on January 13, 2026, by Israeli writer Mathilda Heller, titled: “The Emirates and Turmoil. The United Arab Emirates used military bases in the Red Sea region to help Israel in its war against Hamas.”

The article cited as an example the UAE's contract with the Swiss company "Alp Services," which recruited academics, journalists, and writers to spread rumors and false and misleading claims about a large number of Islamic centers, associations, and figures in the West. All of this serves the Zionists and Israel.
Abu Dhabi's conspiracy, however heinous and despicable, will not affect our view of the UAE and its noble people. The UAE will remain in our hearts. We will always see it reflected in the wisdom of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan – may God have mercy on him – and the political acumen of Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi – may God protect him – and in the charitable works and generous contributions of the Sheikhs of Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah, and Ajman, and in the steadfast thinkers and intellectuals of the UAE, and in the authenticity and kindness of the noble Emirati people. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will remain steadfast in its position, a loyal sister to the UAE. The Saudi people will remain brothers to the Emirati people. Shame and disgrace will befall those who deviate from the right path (And Allah is predominant over His affair, but most of the people do not know).
