@ap_epdcl Sir, I am extremely disappointed with this response.
How is APEPDCL handling this complaint when the facts and evidence clearly show that this was not an issue limited to one consumer or one house? and a group complaint is given.
We submitted a formal written group complaint to the Ravikamatham AE/local APEPDCL office, signed by residents of multiple affected houses, along with the service numbers of the affected consumers. I am attaching the complaint here for your reference.
This was a collective complaint because multiple houses were affected by the same abnormal voltage incident.
On 30 September, voltage reached approximately 423V and remained abnormal for more than 2 hours. Electrical equipment was damaged, and caught fire inside my house.
We were informed by the field staff that the issue was at the DP and involved a phase/neutral mixed.
Later the internal wiring and earthing were also checked and were found to be in proper condition by your field staff.
However, your response now says:
“238V at DTR and 231V at the consumer meter… concern may be due to internal wiring or earthing.”These readings were taken today evening. A normal reading after the issue has been attended to does not establish the cause of the original 423V incident.
More concerning is the statement:
“As no other consumers reported issues…”
Sir, this is precisely what we are questioning.
A written group complaint from multiple affected houses was already submitted to your local office, with the affected consumers' service numbers and signatures and even mentioned here.
So how can the official response state that no other consumers reported issues? this creates a serious confusion on how apedcl functions. does the group complaint for public safety is not having any value?
Please review the attached complaint and the field staff's own statements before attributing the incident to individual consumers' internal wiring or earthing.
We are requesting a clear technical answer:
1. Why was the written group complaint from multiple affected consumers not reflected in your response? Or local authorities response.
2. On what technical evidence is internal wiring/earthing being suggested as the cause for all the houses?
3. Was the DP/phase-neutral issue reported by the field staff investigated and recorded?
4. What caused the voltage to reach approximately 423V and remain abnormal for more than 2 hours?
5. What protection or monitoring mechanism is available to prevent such dangerous overvoltage from reaching multiple households?
We are not asking for assumptions or blame.
We are asking APEPDCL to examine the incident, the group complaint, the field staff's statements and the available technical records, and provide the actual cause and permanent corrective action.
This is a public-safety issue, not a single-house wiring complaint.
What happens if the same condition occurs at midnight while families are asleep?
Please investigate the actual incident and provide permanent fix for the village.
@ap_epdcl safety concern: Medivada, Anakapalli. On 30 Sep, voltage reached ~423V for 2+ hours. Chargers, AC and stabilizer caught fire and spread to the bedroom. Complaint: 26093004043. Group complaint submitted, but no explanation yet. What if this happens at midnight?
