In spring 2023, Norway opened the world's longest walking/cycling tunnel (1.8 miles) costing ~£23M.
Here in 2026, the Govt intends to waste ~£7.5M infilling 6% of Queensbury Tnl (1.4 miles) and allow the rest to collapse.
It's difficult to imagine a starker contrast in culture.

So, the Govt has decided to give @NationalHways millions of pounds to abandon Qby Tunnel, less than 4 years after the state-owned roads company finished a £7.2M programme of works that made the structure safe for future reuse.

The UK Treasury has screwed Wales again!

They have now classed a railway line running for Oxford to Cambridge as an "England and WALES" project.

This robs Wales over £300m+ whereas Scotland and NI get their cash.

It's a disgrace that this is still happening after the HS2 robbery.
