Australian mums concerned about our kids' futures in a changing climate are educating ourselves, speaking up and acting to protect our kids' liveable planet.
Hi Everyone! We are taking a bit of a break from our focus on raising mums voices as we help set up the super new group Australian Parents for Climate Action. Please join us there @ap4ca on insta/twitter/fb
@mothersriseup Thank you for thinking of us. Along with @ap4ca which we are part of, we are putting all our energies into promoting and attending the March 15 school strike 4 climate here. We wish you well!
On #IWD2019 we consider the primal right of a mother to protect her children. In the face of catastrophic climate change we ask politicians the world over to take radical action. Our children need your protection.
Happy new year!
2018 was the year that ended climate silence, with our kids going on @StrikeClimate. 2019 must be the year to implement effective climate action! Everyone must step up!
Thanks @1millionwomen for publishing @am4sc mum Eve's article.

By the time they are our age the damage will be done. We need to act now. #mothersriseup and march for climate action on international mothers day May 12th. Join us!
Feeling some climate grief today for the things we are already on track to lose. But feeling strong and ready to do all we can to speak up and act to protect our kids #liveablefuture
“A third of Himalayan ice cap doomed, finds report.
Even radical climate change action won’t save glaciers, endangering 2 billion people.”
But I guess we have more important things to worry about...

Vale John Sinclair. ACF councillor and Vice President. Rawlinson Award winner. The conservationist who stopped sand mining and logging on Fraser Island. Thank you, John. https://t.co/GNzWoAx6RD
Australia’s ageing coal power stations are unreliable and prone to breaking down in extreme weather events. In 2018 there were over 100 breakdowns at unreliable fossil fuel power stations in Australia.
To tackle #climatechange, Australia needs to rapidly roll out a fleet of sustainable transport solutions. This includes high quality public transport, cycling and walking infrastructure as well as electric vehicles powered by renewables. https://t.co/WtsFcYTIvn #EVs
Our thoughts are with the people of Townsville and surrounds today. You don't deserve to get your homes flooded. You deserve to see your government taking effective climate action to address the escalating #climateemergency

@GretaThunberg You must know that for every hater you have (we probably share quite a few!), there are thousands who are deeply inspired by your actions and your words. Both camps are signs of your effectiveness. Keep it up!
In @TantrumBook, @Megan_Herbert & I envisioned a young heroine Sophia who coerces & inspires the adults in her world to take action on climate (https://t.co/QYivVPTDhX). I want to thank @GretaThunberg, @AlexandriaV2005 & @lillyspickup for turning our dream into reality 😊🙏🙏
Don’t let the haters get you down Greta. It simply speaks to how effective you’ve been and the threat you pose to polluting interests. That’s why they have released their attack dogs on you. Be strong my friend. The planet hangs in the balance...
