Possibly my most important 🧵 & a big announcement(!)

In 2020, I was on the front lines of the pandemic in Boston- it was a bad time, the worst in my life...
@JasonMCobley @GeoffNorcott Haven’t worked with him for a decade so I’m not sure how he lined it up this year, but every other year it has been in summer holidays so no need to get leave.
How marvellous is this! Can we have more nursing homes like this one in Perth?
There are so many benefits to gardening for both physical and mental health, so making it accessible and integral to the nursing home environment is wonderful to see!

To be honest @Qantas, probably not going to accept a flight change that means I’m supposedly going to be able to leave Sydney before I’ve even arrived. Unless you’ve invented time travel?
I’ve been thinking about the ‘doctors defraud Medicare’ piece for hours.
It’s my considered view that it’s a shitty piece of investigation.
Not because doctors don’t defraud Medicare - a minority do; this is abhorrent.

...and Australia has specific geographical challenges compared to other countries of similar population- a very large landmass with marked differences in access to breast screening of any variety. (And as pointed out previously- frequent natural disasters impacting access).
Thought provoking stuff at #AIBC. For screening of asymptomatic women, both MR and Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM)- alone- are significantly better than the current workup of mamm+/- tomo+/- US. But there are significant resourcing + logistic issues to make this the norm. 🤔
