@Jietongzhang@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Jietong! I also really like using Google Docs as it's a very accessible resource for students. I like how it makes collaboration on a document easy.
@JenayCalender@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hello Jenay! I also really like using Google Sites. I've had to use it in pervious courses and it's always nice to see how your work progresses as you add more things to the site.
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A4: The most rewarding has been Quest 33: Creating a Google Form. I've never created one before, but now I can see it has many ways it can be utilized in class. This quest has shown me that tech can be used in ways you haven't thought of before. #csubEDTE4200
@Wendy_csub @JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Wendy! I agree that Flip is a great resource to use that can involve all four domains of language. I think it's also fun for students to use since they get to film a video and even add edits to it to make it more engaging.
@IsabelM_CSUB @JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Isabel! I agree that Quizlet is a great resource for students. Being able to create flashcards digitally is good as they are accessible to students anywhere that they have access to technology; students will be able to study even when they aren't home.
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A3: Students using Google Slides to make a presentation is a fun way for students to lead an activity. It addresses the writing & speaking skills of students as they have to make sure their slides have concise writing & they have to speak clearly when presenting. #csubEDTE4200
@KenRudyCadiz@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Kenneth! I agree that Google Classroom is great for virtual learning. I think it's useful that students can make their own announcements to the whole class if they have something they want to share or ask for help on.
@julia_csub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hello Julia! I agree that Flip is a great way for students to connect with one another. I think it's a great tool for students to see and hear from their peers when they don't have any virtual meetings for a course.
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A2: Zoom has become popular thanks to virtual instruction. The use of meetings that allow direct communication along with breakout rooms where students can talk to one another does a lot for building a community and improving the student experience. #csubEDTE4200
@IsabelM_CSUB @JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Isabel! RubiStar is definitely a really useful tool. I know it can be difficult to come up with your own rubric so I'm glad it's available. :)
@j_moreno63 @JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Jorge! I also enjoy using Flip. I think it's a great resource to use in the classroom as it means students won't always have to write their answers to questions and can instead provide the information in a different format! :)
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A1: My favorite educational resource so far has been Remind because I think it's a great tool to use to communicate with students about assignments. One tool we have yet to cover is Quizizz; it's really useful for making assessments fun and competitive. #csubEDTE4200
@j_moreno63 @JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi, Jorge! I also worked at an elementary school, and I also plan to work with kids at a higher level in the future! I hope we both enjoy it. :)
@julia_csub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi, Julia! How was teaching 9th grade English? I hope to teach English in grades 9-12; I'm not sure what my preference out of those grades will be yet as I haven't taught it. :)
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Introductions: Hello, I'm Adriana! I'm pursing my Single Subject Credential in English. The grades I hope to teach are 9-12. #csubEDTE4200
