In this regard I am pleased on behalf of the Government to announce that every member of parliament will receive a star link kit for their respective constituency with internet fully paid for the first one year. With internet speeds reaching over 250 Megabits per Second (compared to the present average of 15-20 megabits per second), it has the capability to connect over 300 devices simultaneously. These kits are not just tools; they are enablers of progress. With starlink, wherever you are, it will work with no issues, as there are many low orbit satellites across the world, from which the signal can be picked. These will bridge the digital divide, allowing Members of Parliament to stay seamlessly connected with their constituents and access crucial online services. The distribution process will be done through the electronic government division- Smart Zambia, and optimised to ensure that every constituency receives the support it needs to flourish in the digital era.
