#Morocco has signed a new partnership with global digital infrastructure company @Vertiv to support the development of the country’s cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and critical digital infrastructure as part of its broader digital transformation agenda.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Monday in Rabat by Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform @AmalElfallah and Vertiv Africa Managing Director #WojtekPiorko.

The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation on digital #infrastructure, cloud computing, AI, high-performance computing, data centers, and the electrical and cooling systems required to operate them.

The memorandum provides for the exchange of expertise, the preparation of technical studies, the identification of strategic projects, and the exploration of innovative solutions tailored to Morocco’s future digital needs.

#Morocco and #France reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in digital technology and artificial intelligence during talks held in Geneva.

The meeting was conducted between Morocco’s Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, @AmalElfallah , and France’s Minister Delegate for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology, @ALehenanff

It took place on the sidelines of the first Global Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence Governance, where the two ministers discussed expanding cooperation across several strategic areas, including research and innovation, talent development, support for startups and businesses, the integration of AI into the economy and public services, as well as governance, digital infrastructure, and digital sovereignty.

The discussions also explored opportunities to build partnerships centered on co-innovation, skills transfer, and strengthening local capacities.
