Remember last year when Bell Media took $122M in pandemic subsidies, increased dividends to shareholders and then two days after Bell Let’s Talk day laid off 200 people on a half-hour notice in the most horrific way possible?
Remember when Punjabi truckers took to the roads last year to show support for the farmers protests & pple were like “wow they are blocking hwy traffic” but now a very diff group of truckers are seen as a “powerful protest movement.” See how that discourse conveniently changes👀
I would sincerely like the Premier to bring the same energy he has for defending a small number of unvaccinated truckers to defending our healthcare system, our education system and children. #ableg
If locking my 2X vaccinated ass down for a month buys a kid his cancer surgery, a grandmother her long awaited & desperately needed new hip, keeps one more immunocompromised person from dying from Covid, or allows a mom to get her transplanted liver,
Lock.
Me.
Up.

i love that people think the same government who created a 3x5 paper notecard to confirm vaccination status is the same government trying to inject us all with microchips to track us.
I am increasingly frustrated that the ICU capacity numbers don’t reflect the actual situation. Today an increase of 4 was reported (222 pts total) but in fact 42 new people were admitted. It’s just that 38 died/discharged. I need people to get this. #COVID19#COVIDAB#ableg
When you say "do my own research" do you mean, go on Google and read reports from qualified scientist, or do you mean you're going to read unverified second hand anecdotes from people online.
Good morning to everyone except to those of you who plan to protest at hospitals today. I won’t remind you again how wrong that is. You already know. I hope you change your mind and your heart. It’s not too late to do the right thing.
Did it hurt when you stopped leaving the house in March 2020, setting your sights on mass vaccinations as the solution, but then people refused to get them “in the name of freedom” while vaccine inequity flourished, so variants kept evolving, & now you’re running low on optimism?
The fact that hospitals are still helping/treating people who refused the vaccine and are dying from Covid goes to show that this whole thing revealed half the human race lacks empathy and compassion and the other half suffers because of it
Just found out the surgery my dad needs to live longer than the next year has been postponed because hospitals in Alberta are at capacity but people who have refused to get vaccinated are being rewarded $100. I’m speechless. #abhealth#AbLeg
Having a difficult time putting into words the feeling I had when I left the hospital after doing chest compressions on a coding young person who lost their fight with COVID, to see a normal packed Friday night at bars and restaurants...
“I was too drunk” [so i shot her]
“I was too drunk” [so i raped her]
“I was too drunk” [so i hit her]
Being drunk is not an excuse for violence. I don’t care.
when i lost over 100 lbs, everyone suddenly loved me. everyone thought i was gorgeous. everyone thought i was powerful. i can assure you being congratulated for weight loss just feels like your greatest fear confirmed. you have to be thin to be valuable to the world. it sucks.
