@mattmfm Do they not remember that the last Catholic president was Joe Biden? I mean, the one before that was JFK, so I'll give that a pass, but Joe was president *very* recently.
I was playing at a friend's house as a child and there was a little boy next door who always tried to play with us and his tantrum was "I try to be nice, I try to be nice, but all you do is be mean. I'm going to go home and tell my mommy and never come back here again.
@MrMisunderstood@_nick_fries_@SeanIsMe123 @SamiaAliSalama8 @AesPolitics1 The electoral college was a post-civil war compromise to allow southern states representation based on all population not just white population. The founders were long dead.
@Acyn As someone with a disappearing, reappearing Southern accent I can tell you: it's because people often think poorly of you becase of your accent, so you try to minimize it in situations where that might be the case.
@_celia_bedelia_@peterjhasson@FreeBeacon@SaysSimonson@ChuckRossDC For me it depended on the job - I knew that Linens 'n' Things cared about my high school job at the Coffee Beanery and my gov't job cared about my high school summer job at an architecture firm. Also, when my resume was shorter everything went on it.
@reginacalabrese@michelle_byoung As part of the MTV generation, the Land of Confusion video still resides happily in my memory :)

As a white American woman, I'm delighted with the prospect of the first female president being Kamala Harris. Just saying. And my spirit animal is Leslie Knope, so you know I loves me some Joe Biden.
