Congratulations @AranzaPinedo, one of our PGY-4s!
Her abstract "Training Gaps, Perceptions, and Career Interest in Nephropathology among U.S. Anatomic Pathology Residents: A Nationwide Cross-Sectional Study and Call to Action" won her a Pathologist in Training Best Abstract Award
Great week at #USCAP2026 with our faculty, residents, fellows, and externs! Several hosted presentations and moderated conversations, learning from fellow pathologists, and one of our residents took home Pathologist in Training Best Abstract Award.
Drs. Rob Humble and Matt Gosse represented the Department of Pathology at the 2024 USCAP Fellowship Fair on Sunday, March 24th. They are visited by Chair and Department Executive Officer Dr. Nitin Karandikar.
"As the state’s only academic medical center, we get to see the full spectrum of pathology across organ systems, which makes for a comprehensive training experience."
- Robert Humble, MD, MS
"Fellows gain autonomy over the course of the year, particularly in the interpretation of intraoperative frozen sections and through independent sign out rotations."
