In a major boost to Uganda’s capacity to disease screening, we have flagged off 11 mobile TB clinic trucks, taking life-saving services closer to the people. With each region now receiving a mobile clinic, access to essential health services in hard-to-reach communities will be significantly scaled up, ensuring no Ugandan is left behind.
Beyond TB, the mobile clinics will provide integrated screening services for HIV, malaria, diabetes, hypertension and other conditions. Each clinic is equipped with AI-enabled digital X-ray technology for TB and other lung diseases, GeneXpert machines for rapid and accurate diagnosis, as well as tools for HIV testing and diabetes screening, ensuring comprehensive care for communities in hard-to-reach areas.

I was delighted to present our innovative firefighting vehicle, named the Muliro Eater, to the Ambassadors of the USA, Russia, the UK, and EU member states. We showcased the prototype during the meeting.
Having frequently watched on TV as fires devastated towns and regions in these countries, I was inspired to combine our African firefighting tactics with military tank technology to create this fire-eating vehicle. I hope that they will embrace this proposal and become our clients. This initiative represents our commitment to philanthropy and the promotion of African innovations.
Wishing the Uganda Cranes the very best as they face Mozambique in the World Cup qualifier today! 🇺🇬⚽

We conducted a support supervision visit at Nakaseke General Hospital unannounced and found the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system abandoned. EMR is mandatory in all govt health facilities with required equipment in place. Excuses won’t be tolerated. All facilities must use the system & report any gaps for timely solutions. #DigitalHealth #MOHatWork

This morning we dispatched 776 equipment comprised of 556 solar direct drive refrigerators and 220 electric refrigerators to selected districts to supports safe storage of vaccines in rural health facilities, aimed at strengthening Uganda’s immunization coverage.
This expansion is critical as Uganda’s immunization schedule grows, recently adding vaccines like the Measles Rubella second dose, Yellow Fever, and the third dose of Rotavirus.
We thank our partners GAVI, World Bank, WHO, and UNICEF that have stood with us through this journey.
