The #Optusoutage has particular ramifications and opportunities for remote Australia. I'm really pleased to provide some thoughts on this in my first-ever op-ed, in Griffith University's Englighten.

@_markagregory Great interview on ABC! I completely agree that a market-led approach to provision of essential infrastructure, and loose regulation that enables telcos to walk away from catastrophic failures, will ensure this keeps happening! #OptusOutage
What a hoot to publish alongside my former colleagues and recent PhD graduates from @qutdmrc. Congratulations on your sole-authored papers @s1223coulibaly and @Ollie_Eklund!

I'm delighted to share this paper authored by an all-woman team, comprised of Indigenous and non-Indigenous researchers. We did our best to represent the voices of First Nations people, taking a non-deficit approach to unpack the everyday digital choices families make.
@_markagregory@X I'm pretty close to jumping ship anyways. Definitely would not pay to hang out here. Not sure I have the energy to pursue another platform. I've spent more time on LinkedIn lately.
I am humbled to publish this article alongside colleagues (editors & authors) I hold in such high esteem. It brings together 6 years of fieldwork & scholarship on rural digital inclusion in Australia. It's been a wonderful journey & it's not over yet!π¦

Yesterday, at the magnificent Cloncurry Shire Hall, I had the opportunity to share some thoughts about digitally skilling a farming workforce for data futures. @NationalFarmers & @AgForceQLD, thanks for including me in the conversation & hosting me on the road. @GriffithBiz
