What people don’t realize is that teachers would much rather be in school instructing students and having a sense of normalcy. This is not a “break” or “vacation”. This is unchartered territory and we are doing the best we can with what we’re given.

Lesson plans are important, and pedagogy matters… but some of the most important work of teachers, might not be captured by a plan. When teachers encourage, support, inspire, care about, and connect with their students… they are engaged in work that transcends the “plan.”
