Sa ilalim ng bagong polisiya, hindi na awtomatikong tataasan ang raw scores upang maging passing grade.

Ayon sa DepEd, layunin nitong mas maipakita kung talagang may natutuhan ang mga estudyante at kanilang mga kakayahan upang mabigyan sila ng angkop na suporta sa pag-aaral.
