Twitter is mainly a space where I listen. Every tweet is a veiled ask. Every day, a fresh festering of desire.

My son Jack has autism. He is seventeen, and doesn't speak. We thought that meant a life of silence. But friends, something utterly amazing has happened these last seven months. I would tell you, but it's easier to show you... https://t.co/4EArHi6dzr
It took a full year of texting and Marco Polo-ing about this idea, but Catherine and I finally figured out what we wanted to say and got us a book contract. Huzzah! (Also, we never officially met until this weekend. I was a little worried she wouldn't be cool, but she is.)
Guess what?? My friend @haguejason & I just signed a contract to co-write a book (with @ivpress) on "Mid-Faith Crisis."
We've been talking & thinking about this for a long time, friends, and I'm excited for what we're going to create together.

@megbasham@DuckieLouise Agreed. What do you see as red flags of being attention-seeking in spirit? This particularly intrigues me because of the interplay of algorithms and professional success. Social media often feels very "loud" because of it.
@nickmobrien @missjillyp Have you watched the Babies documentary (2010)? It follows babies in 4 cultures from birth through their first year. It is fascinating.
