@Ig_Normie@vishaldaga3@pubity It's not a set function. When the population finally starts to shrink in a few decades measures can be taken. In fact India should settle somewhere around 300 million people given it's resources for better quality of life.
@i_Kruti@shristhikhanna Lol, 8 billion people but we will die? Even if we go to the levels before industrialization it's good enough. We have too many people as it is.
@MeghanMcCain It has a CFR of 40%. R0 of 2.1. Doesn't need close and prolonged contact to spread. Incubation period of up to 8 weeks. So yes, it's a big deal but if we quarantine and treat now it will not be a big deal.
@GappyTales 3. R0 is about 2 without containment. 40% CFR. There are some changes in the virus not sure if that has increased infectivity. Not enough containment measures. But the silver line is if this goes pandemic we are done for so no point in worrying.
@tanguiew@safetyobvious Yup. Read the 2018 argentina outbreak research paper. There was some airborne/aerosol spread too. The authorities had to enforce 45 day quarantine for the entire town to bring down R0.
@Showtyme502@GlobalBC This strain does. Read about the 2018 argentina outbreak. Was stopped only because the entire town was kept under quarantine for 45 days.
@saarhairadha The pregnancy was a result of consensual sex between minors. The court went against the medical council and forced the doctor to perform the abortion at 8 months mark and the baby was born alive with disabilities. Court fucked up here.
@NilesDobbsS@EnricoUniverse@outbreakupdates It was the same strain in that village, and it was human to human. They enforced quarantine only after they established H2H transmission, hantavirus is endemic in these countries they obviously knew how to deal with it.
@abhisayk000@ramsri_goutham Eventually resources won't be enough to provide modern lifestyles for everyone. Look around us, ecosystems are already collapsing. You know what you call cells that multiply constantly and overconsume resources? Cancer. And cancer will end the body and also itself.
@Bitcoineo We are literally 8 billion, it's not like we are endangered. We don't have the resources to support the modern lifestyle for every human being. Either we give up our lifestyles or we give up overbreeding. Otherwise we would be like a cancer on this planet.
