@currermell@Justinjpearson These issues are way too complex to reduce it to people doing “bad things” and parents “not parenting”. As a mental health professional, I see many sides of this issue. A person who is suicidal or homicidal is much more likely to cause a fatality when a gun is involved.
In The People’s House, protest is not grounds for expulsion. It is cause for celebration: we live in a free society where dissent is welcome, opposition expected and debate engaged. As a former leader in such a body, I defended my colleagues on both sides. Shame on Tennessee.

The problem with SCOTUS looking to whether a “right” is “deeply rooted in our history or traditions” is that our history and traditions are filled with genocide, slavery, brutality and misogyny. Why should we limit our “rights” to things that have only existed for those in power?
