At AURIN we're excited to be working with @ambientmaps on bringing their product to market, allowing more researchers to access noise data and insights – resulting in new avenues for research and future planning. https://t.co/O7Fpr5hPmr
Across Greater Sydney, it is estimated that approximately 14% of the population are exposed to transport noise levels that exceed enHealth recommendations, commensurate with our published 2022 study for Victoria, where 11% exceed across the State.

I am thrilled to announce our Australian noise map paper “Development of Australia-Wide Transportation Noise Maps: An Application in the Estimation of Population Exposure in Victoria” has just been published with @SpringerNature in Acoustics Australia. https://t.co/cfRACQ2V8D
Fortunately soon anyone can access a noise map to understand what the noise impacts are before leaving home. Doesn't help those who are there now, but perhaps it will help others understand the road, rail, and aircraft exposure for any prospective property.
We've had a few enquires regarding the @ACurrentAffair9 article tonight regarding the train noise impacts. We had a guess on the building in Waverton - 68 dBA average.
Ambient are excited to include the location of Victoria's proposed road network within our property reports, allowing customers to help gauge their risk of future noise impacts.
We are excited to announce our property reports are available to the public through @InfoTrack_AUS. Get your conveyancing solicitor to request a report to allow you to understand your transport noise exposure as part of your property search for a new home. https://t.co/H4I4qebjmC
The last video looks at transport noise and health research. This includes combining Ambient's noise levels with census data to understand what percentage of the population is exposed to differing noise levels.

A noise exposure level allocated to every building supports property searches and valuations.
E.g. it would be handy to specify a noise level when searching for a property.
Including noise exposure and the impact on property value will also help AVMs

For tenants who do underestimate the impact higher traffic noise (e.g. above 55 dBA Lnight) has on them, this means moving twice and a difficult time in between. For the properties owners, this means repeated listings, and a drop in income while the property is vacant. 2/2
For rental properties, vacancy = no income, which of course is obvious. However our 2019 study with support from State Machine and CoreLogic found the rental turnover for noisier properties was 69% higher compare to equivalent, quieter accommodation. 1/2
For anyone who has moved in, or bought a property, only to realise that 15 minute walk around did not highlight night time freight trains, or the peak hour traffic, or that with a different wind you’re under a flight path, check out our property reports.

Ambient are in the final stages of creating a detailed, transport noise map of Australia, mapping road, rail and aircraft noise. We have a few videos regarding our data and use cases, starting with transport noise and Development Applications. https://t.co/IZH7EvrTCT
@JuliaLipton We agree! Noise is now available, AQ to follow late 2020. Here's a quick video that includes finding properties based on noise exposure. https://t.co/zl5PP236zf
@azuresupport#azhelp: Hi there, I was wondering if there was a support level available that can help me set up a connection from the VM to my laptop? This is to allow a software program to acquire a hard lock from a usb that is plugged into my laptop?
Part 2 of our Bay Area of California road traffic noise model, hosted by Planwisely @Indicatrix_, gives a quick tour through the inner region of the wider model. We’re presenting on this tomorrow at the Australian Acoustical Society Conference, Adelaide. https://t.co/wBBhGhgObY
We’re presenting tomorrow at the Australian Acoustical Society Conference, Adelaide on noise mapping for planning overlays. Here’s part of our Bay Area of California noise model, hosted by @Indicatrix_#Planwisely https://t.co/k2iJVQK0N6
