More of us should write our stories and our version of the history so our children do not end up reading John Doe's version of our own history.
If you can write, you should absolutely do so. This has been one of our missing pieces since day one.
The Khanqah of Baha al-Din Walad, Father of Rumi, Is on the Verge of Collapse
The Khanqah of Baha al-Din Walad, the father of Jalal al-Din Muhammad Balkhi (Rumi), whose legacy is celebrated across both East and West, is now in a state of serious deterioration. Today, only a temporary iron roof protects what remains of this historic monument.
Cultural figures in Balkh warn that the Khanqah, located in Khwaja Baha al-Din village, the birthplace of Baha al-Din Walad, is at risk of collapse and urgently requires conservation and restoration.
According to historical sources, this Khanqah was one of the most renowned centers of learning, spirituality, and culture during the 7th century AH (13th century CE). It was destroyed during the Mongol invasion and, despite its historical significance, has never undergone proper restoration.
The Khanqah is situated about 20 kilometers from Mazar-i-Sharif, in Balkh District, Balkh Province, and attracts thousands of domestic and international visitors each year. Preserving this monument is essential to safeguarding Afghanistan’s rich intellectual, spiritual, and cultural heritage.

The US Vice President JD Vance - who has been questioning of Israel - has just said that it has no powerful ally left other than the US.
Now Israel’s PM Benjamin Netanyahu has countered that assertion by saying that the US Vice President is mistaken and that Israel enjoys tremendous support in India.
Mr. Netanyahu is wrong.
Undoubtedly, Israel is embedded in the Modani empire and Mr. Narendra Modi is blindly devoted to him. But crores of Indians condemn Israel’s genocide in Gaza that has not spared even children, its forcible dispossession and displacement of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, its heavy aerial bombardments of Iran that has included targeted assassinations, and its brutal military offensive in southern Lebanon. These are all assaults on humanity itself.
The self-styled, award-hungry Vishwaguru’s stony silence on Israel’s actions is a betrayal of India’s civilisational ethos and values. It is simply unconscionable. Getting a certificate from Mr. Netanyahu is no badge of honour, specially since he himself is isolated and has evoked frustration and anger even from Mr. Modi’s good friend in the White House himself.
