Rendering vs. Realty: Lotus Lofts, Old City
75 units are making progress at 5th & Vine. Lily Development brought in @AmbitArch for the design. After the Historical Commission required a few redesigns, it looks like a taupe-y gray facade it is.

Permits for construction were issued yesterday for 1500 Frankford Ave. - now called Le' Adrienne. Four units over an 1830 sqft commercial space (available for lease) are coming to Fishtown, with a sexy design from @AmbitArch on this CMX-2 zoned lot. Should be CMX-2.5 at least.

Designed by Ambit Architecture (thanks @buckthundaz for pointing me in their direction!) and redeveloped by the Foy family (who runs the bar & restaurant, Bridget Foy's), it is the sort of building that forms the fabric of great neighborhoods, of which Society Hill certainly is.
Though it doesn't scream out for attention, its solid core design, subtle detailing, like pitched roof, dormers, and chimney stacks, pull our eyes upwards, maximizing a rather small lot. With a few apartments above the bar, there will always be eyes on the street, and a mixing of different types of people.
Corner buildings with shops on the ground floor are a critical component of creating great neighborhoods. Though modest in scale, their importance can't be understated, as this is where community comes together.
Let's build great new corner buildings like this one in Philly!
A satisfying before and after from our completed project, The Bordeaux, on Girard. This beautiful building is welcoming it's newest tenant, Rybrew, your local sandwich shop! #beforeandafter#RealEstate#Philadelphia
