@UnderwaterLance I just listened to your interview with @MissedinHistory. I was already excited for “Chamber Divers” because of my love of “In the Waves”, but now I’m even more excited! Chamber divers is my end of semester treat to myself-so it can’t come soon enough!
It’s wonderful to see where Eva Maglott’s legacy has taken us-an amazing group of nine women as members of the engineering faculty. I’m so proud to work along side these women.
In celebration of Women’s History Month, ONU salutes our engineering women.
When there were few women professors, Eva Maglott, AB 1878, Hon. D. 1909, taught math and astronomy to engineering students from 1881 to 1916.

@thephdstory My parents bought me one as a “yay new job” present. I don’t remember the brand, but we got it at Home Depot. It has a separate freezer compartment, which I love for frozen meals. But it was pricy ($200?), so I’m not sure I would have bought it on my own.
@LHLogan1 Similarly, I got lucky with genetics. I am inconsistent with skin care (trying to get to better with SPF) but have very few zits or other skin problems, besides some probable rosacea.
What a great way to celebrate the (almost) end of the semester! It was so nice to see folks from RIME again and meet the newest members! Thanks @RachelKajfez for hosting a fun party!
Best part of my job? Getting to work with these amazing folks! We had an amazing “holiday” party (bring a dish to represent any holiday). We had everything from Groundhog’s Day to Christmas to Mardi Gras to Spring Festival to Easter represented.
I am excited to share that I was honored with an Alum Spotlight award at the recent Phi Sigma Rho convention. Phi Rho was a cornerstone to my support system in college and the people I met through there are still a crucial part of my life. It’s wonderful to be recognized!
Congratulations to Renee, @amclark89, @RachelKajfez, and Cassie for their Best Diversity paper in the New Engineering Educators Division! Amazing work!
@ascheer90 I think some of it is just our desire to learn and know more! But I also question whether opening the coffin was necessary and what we could have done and learned using non-invasive techniques.
@LHLogan1 I had one who apparently didn’t listen the half a dozen times I said “we’re starting at 7am, not 7:40 like the schedule originally said” and walked in at 7:30.
I’m so excited to share that my dissertation research has been published! Thank you to @RachelKajfez for all of your support throughout grad school and through the publication process! Here’s a link if you’re interested:

@ascheer90 I played regularly with the grove city community winds when I was working and in grad school. Unfortunately with COVID and then moving, that’s not practical anymore. I haven’t found an outlet yet. I should really just play at home for fun.
@LHLogan1 I always get into the habit of taking an afternoon nap during breaks. Just like 30 minutes. But it makes the first week of classes so hard when I suddenly have to stop taking my naps. Hope the nap was refreshing!
