Last night, Israeli occupation forces dropped barrels over the skies of Gaza. When we saw them, we thought: finally, perhaps this world will have mercy on us from this injustice, and they will kill us while we sleep.

But about half an hour later, those barrels opened in the sky, resembling bubbles. Unfortunately, there was no death inside them.

Instead, an extremely foul smell, like feces, spread everywhere. It seeped into homes and tents, into people’s chests and their breathing.

My nephew Fathi, who suffers from asthma, could not sleep all night. More than once, he choked and struggled to breathe because of the smell.

Even the air is something they begrudge us. They want to take away our last breath.

They want us to breathe the stench of this world’s filth—the smell of helplessness and complicity with all of this terrorism.

We are facing one of the lowest and dirtiest occupations in history. An occupation that does not want us to live, and does not even want us to breathe.

मोदी सरकार ने चुपचाप UPI पर फ़ीस लगाने का रास्ता खोल दिया है।

अब ₹2,000 से ऊपर के merchant UPI लेन-देन पर MDR लगाया जा सकता है। इन ट्रांजैक्शंस की संख्या भले ही सिर्फ़ 5% हो, लेकिन UPI के कुल transaction value का करीब 65% इन्हीं में है।

सरकार कहती है कि ग्राहक से कोई फ़ीस नहीं ली जाएगी। लेकिन दुकानदार पर लगने वाली फ़ीस आखिर आएगी कहां से? कीमतों में जुड़कर ग्राहक की जेब से।

Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal’s proposal to ban any MP and MLA who gets elected on Party X’s symbol and later defects to Party Y for money or under pressure should be welcomed. He calls for 10 years ban.

Point 5 of CJP’s first demand charter released by @abhijeet_dipke sought the same thing, but much stricter—a ban from holding ANY public office and contesting elections for 20 years.

And this coward is one of the reasons Delhi’s governance ended up in this mess & encouraged Centre to go on rampage against Opposition they like with majority in hands.

1. First, he allowed the Centre to hijack Delhi’s powers, one by one.

2. Then it took him 1.5 years courts time to finally realise that the bureaucracy must remain under the elected government, whether it’s the Centre, a State or a UT.

3. The moment the 5 Constitution Bench delivered its verdict 5-0, the Centre overturned it within just four days through an ordinance.

4. And he, as the sitting CJI, watched the entire process being trampled upon instead of having the courage to protect it.

5. Later, he refused to give the matter a hearing date, even as the UT government kept knocking on the court’s doors for another year.

6. And when the Centre further expanded the LG’s powers over the MCD through another controversial law, he again chose not to stand in the way.

And after all this, this shameless man invited a Political PM to his home.

This is the perfect reminder that a chair, a title or a constitutional position cannot manufacture courage.

If the person sitting in the chair is a coward, the chair doesn’t make him brave.

80 years since Independence, and we as a nation are staring at one of our darkest crises: the collapse of quality education and hence the collapse of hope. Our conversations with young people across the country reveal a dreadful emotion: anxiety about the future. Broken education, coupled with the government’s incompetence in creating meaningful jobs has produced something worse than unemployment. It has produced a generation that no longer knows what its hard work is leading to. The government knows this. For last several years, it survived by distracting us with Hindu-Muslim, divide and rule, endless manufactured outrage amplified by a conniving mainstream media. But its expiry date is here. Seeing this reality so up close and personal, it genuinely sends chills down my spine. Because beneath the anger and the memes is something far more terrifying. CRORES OF YOUNG INDIANS ARE QUIETLY LOSING FAITH IN TOMORROW. Conspiracy theories aside, we know for a fact that the government understands this. Its most powerful tool, repression, has found its expiry date. An entire generation is now forced to confront the harrowing consequences of years of incompetent policymaking and they are demanding answers.

What worries us the most is that the government’s response to this generational crisis and anxieties since the youth protests has not inspired confidence in us. It has inspired dread.

So when you read about eight members of an NBC News Team being beaten by Israeli settlers today in the West Bank, it's important to note two things:

1. The settler wouldn't do this to Americans had they not received a green light from the Israeli gov.
2. Israel's gov would not have given such a green light unless it felt confident that the US gov - and Amb. Huckabee - wouldn't lift a finger to defend the Americans.
