I’m pumped to announce that I’m starting a new @bayareabtc Bitcoin meetup in the SF Bay Area.

The meetup will be called The Bay Area Bitcoin Series, and it will focus on high-level Bitcoin education.

Our first meetup will be on Oct 30th, and we’ll be discussing the innovations around Bitcoin + AI and highlighting some of the companies/projects at the forefront of this emerging space, including @lightning's L402, @GPUtopia, and even https://t.co/STd0tWoKUP. If I’m missing any cool projects please comment or DM me!

The exact format will be a work in progress, but the idea is to have (at least) monthly meetups where we discuss various aspects of Bitcoin and tangential technology. Examples include AI, Nostr, self-custody, layer 2 protocols, mining, and much more.

Once we get in a groove, I’d like to invite guest speakers from Bay Area Bitcoin companies to come and dive a little deeper into the above topics.

Ultimately, the goal is to provide a space for top-tier talent, venture capital, students, and plebs alike to come together to learn about Bitcoin, network, and get involved.
