@bayour20 No he is not a Pirlo or Kroos, he could be a controller but he also loves running and attacking. His best position is an 8 next to a truly defensive and space covering 6 who can give him freedom to dictate, roam and crash the box as he sees fit.
@Jibsman1 He was fuuking injured with hernia that season and still played better than Palmer this season with the so called groin injury which doesn’t even need surgery
@High_Hopes_NC Same. I think Maresca misprofiled him so much but somehow pushed him to be a more complete midfielder. Based on his ability now, more freedom in Madrid system would be better.
@InvertTheWing You’d rather have a sub at mancity criticised by all their fans than a starter who scored 15 goals a season in your own team and extremely versatile?
@NewsJeffJ1 I’m convinced that all these Chelsea tactics on X don’t know ball. The only reason Enzo is played so high is because he is one of the only goal threats in your team. He spent the whole career playing deep. He played in pivot this season and played well.
@Tunde_Blakcfc Although Enzo is most comfortable playing DLP, he is also quite attacking (compared to other midfielders) and loves roaming and going forward. We don’t have forwards that can constantly score so we have to use Enzo’s box crashing and semi striker instinct for clutch goals.
@CFCJacob90 Are you crazy? How are our midfielders not a successs? Most of the games the team won because our midfielders are really solid or even world class and can score goals.
@Matt_Law_DT When Rosenior first appointed, the team played fine and won games. It was only after the PSG first leg when he randomly dropped Sanchez and ended with a 5-2 loss due to keeper’s mistakes then the players decided to complain on and off the pitch. Whose fault is it?
@Matt_Law_DT You are the worst journalist ever. Afraid of losing your sources “inside the club”, you don’t attack the hierarchies but paint dirt on the players including those actually performing for the club. Disgusting piece.
@DeadlineDayLive He played consistently like one of the best midfielders in the world for two seasons and produces stellar numbers. Why no one attacks other expensive signings???
@TheBlueDodger@NizaarKinsella@SamiMokbel_BBC Are these pundits stupid or something? Maresca played him as a lone 6 with the help of inverted fullbacks, he is always in a double pivot under Rosenior?
@thepitchpuzzle I don’t understand Chelsea fans. He played a single 6 while winning World Cup and Copa America and played in a pivot in Benfica. Even in Chelsea he played comfortably in a pivot occasionally when needed. Your club lacks attacking power so he was pushed to play 10. Not vice versa.
