@KenSimCity After over 500 residents vocally opposing this budget it is corrupt that you are choosing your own agenda instead of what the people want.
Zero percent property doesn’t improve anyone’s qualify of life but it worsens the middle and lower class.
No one’s lives actually improve.
@KenSimCity I know you think that is a lot, but it could easily be covered if you actually taxed the rich and didn’t axe a property tax increase. You gave away millions of dollars to rich people to hoard.
@NewWestTimes@seanorr Did you watch the video? Like, you are really trying to just be mad at anything he is saying. There shouldn’t have been anything controversial in this speech. Intentionally starving people is bad.
@NewWestTimes@seanorr This obviously isn’t true because the city of Vancouver wouldn’t issue a rally permit for a terrorist organization.
The rally is to stop a current genocide that is happening.
You’re failing to mention that ALL genocide is wrong. Past attacks on Oct 7, 2023 and PRESENt in Gaza.
@wuthrook44@KenSimCity How has he harassed city staff? I doubt most Vancouverites would say taxing rich people and provide services to poor is seeing city burn. Ken on the other hand seems very ok with buildings burning in prime real estate
@shawna_r80@Fressshhh2@KenSimCity Israel actually has 100% of the power to stop the genocide by simply not killing Palestinians. Stop victim blaming. Killing Palestinian children and bombing hospitals has nothing to do with Hamas and is genocide. Please stop defending murdering children.
@mj_hoge @CityofVancouver Totally! And only 2 of those shelters are in the DTES, so not accessible. And it’s only for two nights. How is that a plan?
That’s not even the whole Easter weekend. It’s still freezing at night.

@nvanrcmp Shameful to do that to a minor. Mentions what they are arresting a 13yo old - cowardly, but not sharing that it was the wrong table of youths, police smashed her head into a machine and exposed her. Convenient that didn’t make the tweet.
As journalists, it’s easy to detach ourselves from the stories we're told. What’s more difficult: allowing ourselves to be moved by them.
Today, I witnessed @GlobalBC's Randy Mennie give the jacket off his back to Doug McInnes, who lost everything in Monday’s Gastown fire.
@kennedystewart 215 Aboriginal children’s bodies were found in an unmarked grave at a residential school at the hands of the Canadian government. I ask that as Vancouver’s mayor you lower the flags to half mass to honour this tragic loss.
