I closed the CPD Training for librarians today, organized by Uganda Library and Information Science Association(ULIA) in Partnership with @MUBSlibrary. This is part of the on going efforts to enhance the Librarians or Information worker's skills to match the new library trends.

Today, I met Mr @AlfonseMukasa, known as Bajjo, in my office. He is our first year student of Bachelor of Leisure, Events and Hospitality Management. This was after hosting the Rt.Hon @RobinahNabanja_ Prime Minister of Uganda at MUBS.

We had great time with Bishop Hannington Mutebi as he bid farewel to and confirmed christians at St. James Chapel MUBS. He blessed us with his sermon, "An invitation you cannot turn down" We wish our dear Miracle Bishop God's blessings as he retires.
@dos_Mubs is running a Mental Health open air clinic at MUBS main campus in front of Dean of students office. For any mental issues, please visit them. The school counselor and her team are there to support you. The three-day clinic started yesterday and will close tomorrow, 18th October 2024.

119 participants graduated from the digital skills training program. The training started in May 2024 with a total of 274 participants organized in two cohorts. The trainees were vulnerable youths and adolescents from Kampala slums. The program was organized by @MUBSICTCentre in collaboration with @UNICEFUganda. We congratulate all those who managed to complete the program.
"Our main goal as @OWC_ug is to make sure every household has a substantial income. We are trying to use data and digitization as enablers. We have already locally developed and deployed 6 systems. My question is, how can we integrate AI into these systems to make decision-making easier for our farmers."
