This is the historic St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Buffalo.

Built by German immigrants in 1886.
In 2022 the Diocese sold the entire complex to Buffalo Crescent Holdings (tied to the Downtown Islamic Center) for just $250,000 with plans to turn it into a mosque.

Those plans stalled due to local landmarknpreservationists.

Since then the vacant church has been hit repeatedly by suspicious fires.

January 2026: The school was gutted in a 4-alarm fire

July 17: A massive 3-alarm fire tore through the church

July 21: A second fire — officially ruled arson by investigators

Why does it only seem to be Christian churches that keep going up in flames?
