Our NHS is broken, but not beaten.
We want your help to fix it.
Today the Prime Minister and I are launching the biggest consultation in NHS history!
Calling all patients, staff and partners - share your views and experiences for our 10 Year Plan 👇🏻

#TipsForNewDocs It can be stressful not understanding the system and where places/people/things are…be patient with yourself, within 2 weeks you will have gained that knowledge!
#TipsForNewDocs Breaks - It can be tempting to power through when you have a long list of jobs. Take a break away from the computer and off the ward, you will be more productive when you return.
#TipsForNewDocs Analgesia - Most patients will need at least paracetamol for fever or pain. Prescribe this PRN when clerking to save yourself and colleagues from having to do this later!
#TipsForNewDocs Delegate - Many members of the team can take blood, cannulate, use PGD for paracetamol etc. Just ask if there is anyone else that can help as that list of jobs is often too long for 1 person.
#TipsForNewDocs Communication is key - On-call will be made easier if you can tell the person asking for something the timeframe you expect to do it in. It will prevent relentless bleeps asking if you have done the job yet!
Oh my, this is is brilliant from @RobLaurensonD4P
🚨 Strike action has cost the govt £3bn
🚨 Full pay restoration would have only cost £1.3bn
🚨 Re 35% demand - a physician’s assistant is paid 35% more than a fully qualified doctor 🤬🤬🤬
IMPORTANT way to throw sand into Tory engine
Make a request for them to give you all information which they hold on you , they must do it in 30 days
6,000+ requests placed through @goodlawproject since the election was announced
Get the numbers up 👍🏼

I debated whether we should start charging patients for care in today’s @thetimes with @matthewsyed, who believes the NHS is “a vast, monolithic, expanding institution sucking ever more funds into its vortex” & doctors its second worst issue.
No paywall!

Thank you @guardian for giving this topic a platform & allowing me to contribute
Remember the government’s pledge to deliver 6000 more GPs by 2024?
They lied.
They used £1.4bn to fund GP replacements by non doctors instead.
Struggling to see a GP now? Trust me, it’s about to get a lot worse….
