Exiled Iranian princess Noor Pahlavi described a gathering of Iranian opposition forces in Munich last summer, where representatives of political factions, faiths, and regions joined a coalition she said was united by a shared belief in the sovereignty of the Iranian people. Speaking at the Oslo Freedom Forum, she recounted bereaved parents approaching her father, Reza Pahlavi, in tears — and said his mission has always been the establishment of a democratic, secular Iran where power belongs to its people.
Police in Iran have sent text messages warning citizens that simply connecting to the internet will be treated as a crime and prosecuted. Imagine a regime so authoritarian that it cuts off the internet during a time of conflict, and if someone manages to get online through tools like VPNs or Starlink, they risk arrest. The goal is clear: they shut down the internet so only their narrative can be heard. History shows that every time the Islamic Republic cuts internet access, the people of Iran face even harsher repression and violence. #iranwar #digitalblackoutiran #iranmassacre
⚠️ Update: Metrics show #Iran remains offline more than 84 hours into a regime-imposed internet blackout.
Access to the open internet is a lifeline in times of crisis and the shutdown shows a disregard for the public's right to stay informed and engage in their country's future.
Yanar Mohammed, a leading Iraqi feminist and co‑founder of the Organisation of Women’s Freedom in Iraq, was assassinated outside her home in Baghdad on March 2, 2026.
For more than two decades, Yanar was one of Iraq’s most courageous advocates for women’s rights.
Mojtaba Khamenei, the hardline 56-year-old son of Iran’s late dictator and a close ally of the Revolutionary Guards, has reportedly been named Supreme Leader. He was recently injured and will likely continue to be a target of Israeli assassination attempts https://t.co/4jz1WTB9eA
It is time for Iranians to think beyond conventional approaches. In my recent @Jerusalem_Post article I suggest a fresh framework and paradigm. “A shift from the tried and tested coalition-building among political opposition groups to a model where technocratic expertise and management take precedence over identity politics.” Link to article: https://t.co/rOf7KoVOBb
Toomaj Salehi was wrongfully sentenced to death by the Islamic Revolutionary Court in Iran.
His crime? Calling for accountability for the Iranian regime through music.
His courage and steadfast vision of human rights in Iran are an inspiration to us all.
Tami Suchman, 76, was murdered on October 7th by Hamas in her home in Kibbutz Be’eri.
On the morning of October 7, Tami went into her safe room and started calling family members. Her son Ben told her to hold the door handle closed so that no one could get in.
She held the door handle with all of her might but eventually had to sit down to rest. When the Hamas militants finally entered the safe room, Ben heard the gunmen take his mother away.
Initially, the family thought she was kidnapped and held out hope. She was found dead 10 days later.
Tami was known for her fashion and her artistic spirit. She taught art and helped better the lives of others through shiatsu and acupuncture.
Tami had four children and 12 grandchildren.
May her memory forever be a blessing.
One of the reasons I appreciate @HenMazzig ‘s reporting is the way he centers holding space for common humanity - and the core issue of extremism and Hamas.
I am incensed by any civilian casualty in Gaza. But we must direct that outrage at the right target. That target is Hamas.
Hamas has built tunnels under civilian areas, used Palestinian civilians as human shields, launched attacks from civilian locations, fights in civilian clothes, and is actively seeking civilian casualties, both Palestinian and Israeli.
The sole reason for civilian deaths in Gaza is Hamas.
Israel has taken more care to prevent them than any other army in human history.
They have taken more care to prevent Palestinians from dying in Gaza than Hamas has.
Let that sink in.
“Things happened here that I have never seen before. The world outside cannot understand the magnitude of the event. It’s impossible to contain it” The United Nation’s Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict, was shocked by her visit to Israel hearing the testimonies and meeting victims.
Nadav Popplewell, 51, was taken captive by Hamas with his mother, Channah Peri, 79, on October 7 from their home in Kibbutz Nirim.
On that Shabbat morning, October 7, his sister, Ayelet Svatitzky called Channah, to warn her that militants had infiltrated Kibbutz Nirim.
The next communication Ayelet had with her family was a photo sent from her mother’s phone, showing Channah in her pajamas, standing alongside Nadav in her living room. The text message read, “Hamas.”
A final picture was later posted on Channah’s Facebook page, showing her with Nadav and an armed Hamas gunman in the corner.
Channah and Nadav were together throughout the length of her captivity, held in a tunnel under Gaza.
Channah was released on November 24th, while Nadav has remained a hostage in horrific conditions for 121 days.
Nadav has diabetes. He uses insulin daily and takes medication to regulate his condition.
Time is running out.
Bring Nadav home now!
On the morning of October 7th, Hamas members broke the Sharabi home, shooting the family dog, shouting in Arabic, laughing loudly and taking Eli, 51, Lianne, and their daughters, Noiya, 16 and Yahel 13 hostage in their safe room before setting fire to the house.
The bodies of Lianne, Noiya, and Yahel were found more than a week later.
Eli’s brother Yossi, 53, also a resident of Be’eri, was seen being taken by Hamas on a pickup truck. He was murdered in Hamas captivity.
Eli has now been missing for 120 days.
We must bring him and all the hostages home now!
