NENA salutes @SF_emergency’s Heather Grimes, whose quick thinking helped save @SpeakerPelosi’s husband when he called 911 and left the line open during a home invasion.
Grimes dispatched police, who captured the suspect while the incident was in progress. #911Hero
Last year, a GOP Congressman shared a depiction of himself killing me. When the House rose to censure, @GOPLeader defended him.
Yesterday, a man sharing that member’s rhetoric tried to assassinate the Speaker and her spouse.
What has @GOPLeader said? Nothing. This is who he is.
This thread explains why I continue to wear a mask (and, it’s not just to protect myself! It also protects the people I’m with in case I turn out to be one of the 6.5% of asymptomatic carriers of COVID).
Covid (@UCSF) Chronicles, Day 838
The die is now cast: BA.5 is destined to be our dominant virus.
In today’s 🧵I discuss the implications on the course of the pandemic, and how to think about responding.

“100% of my focus is on stopping this new administration.” -@LeaderMcConnell
This is exactly what he said in 2010. He doesn’t care about anything but his own power to obstruct. This will hurt Americans.
@votevets@LeaderMcConnell Mr. McConnell, your job is to work on legislation for the good of the American people. 100% of your focus should be on that, not this opposition BS. You suck.
If you are not aware of this voting “audit” going on in Arizona, it’s a serious tinfoil doll wearing a tinfoil hat vibe, like a troop of flat Earthers marching to protest the faked moon landing.
We need to release our stockpile of unused AstraZeneca vaccines now. In India alone, almost 350,000 COVID-19 cases were reported today. When people in India and elsewhere desperately need help, we can't let vaccines sit in a warehouse, we need to get them where they'll save lives
