This morning my mom spoke at the funeral of her dear friend who suffered with Alzheimer's for the past decade and she shared "lilacs reminded her of her mother so I brought her bouquets of them from my yard until she couldn't remember why she loved them anymore."

everyone please keep my 15 yo in your thoughts and prayers today. Because of a plumbing issue that isn't fixed yet, he has to walk about 20 steps further to the next closest bathroom from his room. He is "sick of this crap".
I hate HATE HATE when nurses withhold pain medication especially for chronic pain patients or very painful procedures for βslightly low blood pressureβ
Treat their pain. IF the blood pressure tanks we can deal later.
@oldenoughtosay My sister was 41w and had a scan that measured babe at 10lb12oz and when we were in the waiting room there was a mama cuddling her baby. I asked how much baby weighs and she said 9lbs3oz. I looked at my sister and reminded her that her fetus was bigger.
She smacked me.
@clhubes My bestie was over this weekend. I got 2 entire showers all by myself without my 3.5 year old opening the showercurtains and yelling at me when water gets on him. I took as long as I wanted to without worry about my home being destroyed.
It was magic.
The year was 2010.
We had a new admission that day at the long term care facility.
Admissions were always exciting but also stressful for staff.
Are they coming willingly ? Is the family making this decision? Have they exhausted all other avenues ? Will they adapt quickly ?
@GHMansfield Where I work, that would be a restraint. And you don't get to restrain people just because you say so.
You shouldn't have been treated that way
