#MembersAdvancingTheMission: Amigos for Kids, co-founded by FC100 member Jorge Plasencia, has been selected as a recipient of the OpenAI Ready Award through the national People-First AI Fund.

This recognition will help the Miami-based organization, celebrating its 35th anniversary of impact, expand after-school and enrichment programs while responsibly integrating AI tools to strengthen bilingual communication, curriculum development, and digital literacy.

By strengthening families, embracing innovation, and expanding opportunity at the community level, this work Jorge is leading directly supports FC100’s mission to make Florida a better place for all Floridians.

More than 100 participants from our 22 Family and Neighborhood Support Partnerships (FNSP) partners attended our provider meeting, hosted by @amigosforkids at @MDCollege. Community resources, collaborations, and updates were explored to enhance service delivery for families and children in Miami-Dade County.
