Somaliland to build a new water desalination plant & unveils a new localised modular water management strategy!
This project points to a decentralised coastal strategy built around smaller, replicable systems that can be deployed town by town rather than waiting for one large, slow central solution. This project when complete will produce 150 m3/day and is likely to serve anything from 1,000 to 1,500 people.
If the government follows through consistently with these modular water desalination plants as stated, this approach could significantly reduce water scarcity while creating a scalable template for the rest of the coast.
Wasaaradda Maaliyadda ee Jamhuuriyadda #Somaliland waxa ay ku dhawaaqday in maalinta Sabtida ee 11 July si toos ah loo hir gelinayo qaadista cashuurta cusub ee GST taas oo ah cashuur laga qaadayo qof kasta oo wax iibsanaya. Cashuurtan oo qadarkeedu uu yahay 2.5% waa cashuur uu jideeyey xeerka dakhliga guud ee cashuuraha xeer Lr 72/2016.
Waana cashuur laga qaado dalalka adduunka intooda badan.
Su'aashu kama taagnaa sax ahaanshaha cashuurta waxase dad badani is waydiinayaan cashuurtan waxa lagu qabanayo ee muwaadinka laga qaaday loogu beddelayo?
Tusaale ahaan waddamada waddamada Kenya iyo Ethiopia waxa ay dawladahoodu dadka cashuurtan ugu beddelaan adeegyada nolosha asaasiga u ah sida biyaha, caafimaadka, Laydhka, dhismaha waddooyinka, waxbarashada, shaqo abuurka, daryeelka guud iyo sugidda amniga.
Somaliland cashuurihi hore ee dadka laga qaadi jirey badanka waxay ku baxaan kharash dawladeed mana jirto wax la sheegi karo oo dadka lagu soo celiyo. Muwaadinku isaga ayaa bixiya kharashka waxbarashadiisa xataa jaamacadaha dawladda, caafimaadka isagaa is debera, shidaalka ganacsatada ayaa jaan goysa mana jiro kab dawladeed, waddooyinka waxa dib qaadhaan looga qaada muwaadinka marka la dhisayo!
Haddii qofku wax geysto sida dil, dhaawac iyo wixii la mid ah isagaa ayaa iska bixiya mana jiro wax kaga soo noqda cashuurtiisa.
Shaqo abuurka dawladdu waa mid aad u yar ama guud ahaanba aan dalka wada gaadhin. Dhallinta looma sameeyo garoomo dawladeed iyo goobo ay ku madadaashaan.
Haddaba cashuurtan cusub maxaa loogu qaban doonaa muwaadinka, maxay kaga duwanaan doontaa cashuurihii hore ee aan dadka waxba kaga soo noqon jirin?
Haddii dawladda dhaqaale badan oo cashuurtan ka dhalatay uu soo gelayo maxaa muwaadinka bixiyey soo gelaya oo uu dheef ka heli doonaa? Waxbarashada malla kabi doonaa, caafimaadka malla balaadhin doonaa, shaqo abuur malla samayn doonaa? Mise kharash ayay mar kale cashuurtanina noqon doontaa?
Waa su'aalo shacabku is waydiinayaan oo hor taalla xukuumadda una baahan jawaabo maan gal ah oo qancin kara muwaadinka cashuurta lagu soo rogay?
Tusaale Ethiopia Koronto jaban ayuu shacabku helaa, waxbarasho bilaash, caafimaad jaban iyo shidaa jaban oo xukuumadda dhexe kabto .
Haddii shacabka Somalilan oo intooda badan danyar u badan ay shubaan cashuurta ku waajibtay ee iib ma heli doonaan waxyaabo beddel ah oo xukuumaddu u qabanayso ?

History will remember his name not as the president who chose comfort, but as the president who fought for his people’s rights, stood his ground when it mattered most, and refused to surrender their future. (AURA)

The captors of the #Somali Republic, whose name has been illegally changed several times since 1960, are losing their only real currency, de jure existence. Many of the #embassies that matter have shifted their ambassadors back to #Nairobi, a move that represents only the smallest visible sign of declining confidence in #Mogadishu, its security environment, and its political leadership.
@HassanSMohamud’s meeting with President @WilliamsRuto was presented as Kenya–Somalia engagement, but his real intention was to reach the same diplomats who left because of his reckless political behaviour and the widening instability around his government. That alone captures the condition of the Somali Republic’s hijacked and heavily misused sovereignty.
By the time HSM leaves office, @TheVillaSomalia’s infleunce will be pushed back by a decade and a half in diplomatic credibility. Luckily, that is a grave loss because de jure legitimacy is the only currency #Somalia has left in the face of a territorial reality where key parts have already gone their separate way while others remain an inch away from doing so.
H.E. President @AbdirahmanIrro today met with Israel’s Minister of Economy and Industry, Nir Barkat.
Discussions centered on investment, trade, innovation, and private sector development, with particular attention to the strategic potential of Berbera Port and the Free Zone.
Historic at the Knesset
For the first time in history, Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro) signed the official guest book in the Chagall Lounge at the #Knesset during his landmark visit to Israel's parliament in #Jerusalem.
The visit marks another milestone in the growing relationship between #Somaliland and #Israel, as President Irro becomes the first Somaliland leader to visit the Knesset and engage with Israeli lawmakers at the heart of Israel's democracy.
Today, a new chapter in history has been written. I extend my deepest gratitude and sincere appreciation to the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu @netanyahu the Government of Israel, and the people of Israel for becoming the first nation in thirty-five years to formally recognize the Republic of Somaliland as a sovereign and independent state, affirming its nationhood, independence, and inherent right to self-determination.
This courageous and historic decision stands as a testament to the resilience, political maturity, and unwavering aspirations of the people of Somaliland. For more than three decades, our nation has remained steadfast in its commitment to peace, democracy, stability, and the democratic expression of the will of its people. Somaliland will never forget this historic gesture of friendship, mutual respect, and principled recognition.
We firmly believe that Somaliland and Israel will build a deep and enduring partnership founded on mutual respect, security, innovation, development, and a shared commitment to advancing the prosperity and well-being of our peoples.
I am also pleased to announce that the Republic of Somaliland and the State of Israel have formally signed a Strategic Joint Declaration of Cooperation, marking a historic milestone in relations between our two nations. This landmark agreement establishes the foundation for a lasting strategic partnership and deepens cooperation in the fields of agriculture, water management, security, technology, investment, economic development, and infrastructure.
This achievement represents a defining moment in Somaliland’s national journey and a significant milestone for its people. It will leave an enduring mark on our history and usher in a new era of partnership, opportunity, and international engagement.
Somaliland has prevailed.
This Agreement marks a new chapter of Friendship, Trust and strategic cooperation for peace, prosperity and sustainable Development for both Nations.
