#COVID cases in Louisiana increase by 918 today which is an uptick from the daily increases over the last 5 days. Let's hope this does not represent a trend.
Please remember to #MaskUp and wear your mask to cover your mouth and nose.
When you’ve seen the wrath of #COVID19? You respect it. When you care about other humans? You respect them by wearing a mask.
And when you’re a #BlackWomeninMedicine fighting against two pandemics? You may just take a weekday walk to the state capitol on your lunch break. Yup.
Louisiana new #COVID cases continues to grow at a high rate, adding 2,280 new cases today (total 86,411). Doubling rate remains at 28 days, meaning at this rate, by mid-August, we can expect 4,500 new cases/day. We can slow this down dramatically by wearing a mask. #MaskUp
Another 2,089 new #COVID cases in Louisiana today. We now have a 7-day rolling average of 2,000 cases/day which is an all-time high.
Wearing a mask will flatten this 2nd curve; please #MaskUp Louisiana.
#COVID cases in Louisiana continues to climb adding 2,215 new cases today. The last 7 days averaging 1,724 new cases/day. #MaskUp Louisiana, our hospitals are filling up.

We'll see in 2 weeks the impact of this.
New doubling rate down to 28 days; U.S. doubling rate at 49 days.
