🤝With @UN_OCT Acting USG Zouev, I co-chaired a very productive, senior-level meeting to reflect on OROLSI-UNOCT joint activities and identify areas for further collaboration, aiming to strengthen and enhance our partnership in 2026 and beyond.

#وزارة_الداخلية إستقبل السيد/ محمود توفيق وزير الداخلية، السيد/ فيصل شاهكار - المُستشار الشُرطى لمنظمة الأمم المُتحدة والوفد المُرافق له، خلال زيارته الرسمية لجمهورية مصر العربية وذلك للتباحث حول سبل تعزيز أوجه التعاون المُشترك بين المنظمة الدولية ووزارة الداخلية المصرية.

وقد أعرب المسئول الأممى عن تقديره للدولة المصرية كونها إحدى كبرى الدول المُساهمة ببعثات الأمم المُتحدة لحفظ السلام، مشيداً بإسهامات كوادر الشرطة المصرية ودورهم المحورى والفاعل فى دعم الإستقرار وصون وبناء السلام بمناطق النزاعات فى مهام حفظ السلام الأممية، الأمر الذى كان دوماً محل ثقة وتقدير قيادات المنظمة الأممية، لما تحظى به تلك القوات من سمعة دولية متميزة إكتسبتها من خلال إلتزامها بأعلى معايير السلوك والإحترافية فى أداء المهام المنوطة بهم.

ومن جانبه أعرب السيد/ محمود توفيق - وزير الداخلية عن ترحيبه بزيارة المُستشار الشُرطى لمنظمة الأمم المُتحدة، مؤكداً حرص وزارة الداخلية الدائم على إيفاد كوادرها المتميزة من الضباط وعناصر الشرطة النسائية عقب تأهيلهم بالمركز المصرى للتدريب على عمليات حفظ السلام التابع للوزارة لصقل مهارتهم بالخبرات والقدرات التى تمكنهم من أداء مهامهم ببعثات حفظ السلام فضلاً عن ترحيب الوزارة بإستضافة الفعاليات التدريبية التى تنظمها المنظمة فى إطار تعزيز آليات التعاون المُشترك ودعم جهود المنظمة الدولية فى حفظ وصون الأمن الدوليين.

We also signed a partnership framework agreement that would enhance the longstanding and fruitful partnership between Egypt and OROLSI addressing cooperation, capacity building and development on areas related to police and corrections.

I have just concluded a very successful visit to #Egypt where I had the pleasure of meeting with his Excellency the Minister of Interior, General Mahmoud Tawfik.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting with @UN Resident Coordinators from across the globe.

We spoke about ways OROLSI can help address various challenges many of the UN country teams are facing, including by deploying more OROLSI Institutional Development Advisers.
