Egyptian authorities have arrested several Algerian lawyers and activists part of the #SumoudConvoy upon their arrival at Cairo International Airport.

They were on their way to join a solidarity march toward the Rafah border crossing with Gaza.

According to a statement by Algerian activist Fatiha Rouibi, lawyers Mustafawi Samir, Mohamed Atif Briki, and Abbas Abdelnour were detained inside the airport. Their phones and official documents were confiscated without any legal justification or formal charges.
