در نامه لغو تابعیت، به «عملی که با وفاداری به دومینیکا ناسازگار است» به عنوان توجیهی برای این تصمیم اشاره شده است.
این کشور در اقدام مشابهی است در سال ۲۰۲۵ تابعیت برادر ابوالفضل، حسین شمخانی، را لغو کردند.
