Sometimes, contemporaneous evidence tells the story better than words ever can.

These videos were never meant to document the road itself.

I had recorded them in April’2026 to document another civic issue- the construction sand left on Nirvana Central Road during the Ward 15 median grill works, which caused prolonged dust pollution. Those complaints were taken up with CPCB, which subsequently led to directions being issued to HSPCB.

Only later did I realise the videos had also captured something equally important: Nirvana Central Road in a perfectly serviceable condition on 18 and 21 April, before its bituminous surface was removed early May’2026.

The videos that follow document what happened thereafter: nearly two months of a ripped-open road, dust pollution, exposed bitumen, potholes, stagnant water, several Espace families suffering due to dumped bitumen on the service lane and resurfacing commencing only after the arrival of the monsoon on 7th of July 2026 !!

Bizarre and brazen these two words perhaps explain best what happened

The chronology raises a simple question: if there was no realistic plan to complete the work before the rains, why was a perfectly serviceable road milled in the first place? Why make public SUFFER?
