Was rewatching Anurag Kashyap's Dev D and came across these two scenes.
Still 1: Poster of Kashyap's shelved film Allwyn Kalicharan which was supposed to star Anil Kapoor.
Still 2: That is Raj Singh Chaudhary's character Dilip Kumar Singh from the film Gulaal.

DIGGER is the first significant piece of anarchic, fuck you art aimed at the soulless capitalist pigs who have fucked our society but also at the audience: that consuming art shouldn’t be the extent of your activism. We need to do something about where we are headed.
Nothing saddens me more for India than when I see these hypereducated IIT (sometimes+IIM) types go "saawan" & "pitripaksh" and Tuesday/Thursday veg crap. Then you realize why India needs more Dabholkars & Pansares to remove superstition from our society. Instead they are killed
Let's cut the crap.
SIR was done with the sole purpose of removing voters who don't/won't vote for BjP. So the party continues to win.
Rest is all smokescreen.
Everyone who is against the protests happening in India today should remember one thing:
Almost every right you enjoy today exists because someone.. at some point in history, refused to stay silent.
The freedom you have as an Indian.
The rights u have as a woman.
Reservations secured for social justice.
Labour rights, civil rights, voting rights, freedom of expression.. none of these were handed out because the 'privileged' politely asked for them.
Someone took to the streets.. someone challenged the system.. someone made their hands dirty.. someone disrupted the status quo.. someone was called 'troublesome' 'anti-national' 'annoying' or ' nuisance'
And today.. we have the privilege of sitting comfortably at home, opening your phone and lecturing protesters about how much we dislike protests.
This very privilege exists because someone before us protested for it.
You don't have to support every protest.. but dismissing protest itself as something that 'shouldn't happen' is a remarkably privileged position to take.

"I am saying this after careful consideration. Action will be taken against all of them. You will see, not a single one of them will escape. Whether it is Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Gyanesh Kumar or Mohan Bhagwat. What has been done to our country, is called treason." Yes.
"Sharjeel's case is therefore interesting beyond Sharjeel himself. It raises a broader question about whether we are willing to engage with Muslims as political thinkers with diverse and sometimes uncomfortable ideas, rather than reducing them to predetermined categories. Intellectual disagreement is possible without ideological caricature. And perhaps that is precisely the space that needs to be reclaimed."
Resignation of Modi, Shah, and the entire cabinet should be the only non-negotiable demand. people are ready to fight for change. but neither the pressure group nor the opposition is willing to do anything for the people. they’re all negotiating power among themselves.
I wonder when @DelhiPolice will be independent and obey the Constitution?
We are citizens not subjects. Our rights are not mortgaged to you that you can announce that our freedoms stand suspended on Gandhi Jayanti!
We don’t need police permission to hold peaceful protests to save democracy.
Delhi police you have been informed about the protests at Jantar Mantar.
Delhi Police stop behaving like a colonial force and implementing illegal orders of your political masters.
And of course let’s all including @DelhiPolice follow the teachings of Gandhi on Gandhi Jayanti.
#DelhiProtest | Yogendra Yadav, AISA’s Neha Bora along with other protesters have been detained by Delhi Police. The women police officers who detained Ms. Bora, were seen not wearing their nameplates.

PRIMETIME is a biting satire of news media sensationalism and an indictment of surveillance state also a disturbing character study ofa man chasing clout and ratings, over justice. Featuring career best performances from Pattinson and Gisondo.
Getting a call that Aaron Sorkin wants to adapt your book- followed by a call that David Fincher wants to direct- and then a call that Trent Reznor wants to score- makes you pretty happy you fought through 190 rejections to get your career going in the first place. :)
TVF shows are incredible. They'll take the worst, most mediocre, soul crushing aspects of Indian society and package it as the most whimsical and aspirational stuff.. And the product placement is nuts too cos characters will almost straight up break the 4th wall and try to sell you some shit in the middle of a heavy scene
