How?—Answer is NEP!

National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 recommends replacing the current fragmented regulatory system—incl University Grants Commission (UGC) & All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) (along with NCTE for teacher education)—with a single overarching regulator to create a "light but tight" framework. This has been a declared goal since 2020 as part of the NEP rollout.

The process to repeal their Acts (UGC Act 1956, AICTE Act 1987, and related NCTE Act) and establish the new unified body is actively underway.

👉Key recent developments (from late 2025):

—The Union Cabinet approved a bill (initially called the Higher Education Commission of India or HECI Bill, later renamed the Viksit Bharat Shiksha Adhikshan Bill 2025) to create this single regulator, subsuming/replacing UGC, AICTE, and NCTE.

—The bill was already introduced in Parliament during the Winter Session (Dec 2025) and aims to repeal the old Acts.

👉This means: The repeal and abolition are declared, approved at Cabinet level, and in legislative process — aligning with the NEP rollout.

🔥ONCE ENACTED, THE OLD ACTS WILL BE REPEALED, UGC/AICTE WILL CEASE TO EXIST AS SEPARATE ENTITIES AND THEIR RULES/REGULATIONS WILL EFFECTIVELY LAPSE OR BE SUPERSEDED BY THE NEW FRAMEWORK.🔥

GAME OVER FOR U....UGC & ALSO FOR THOSE BOTS WHO ARE PEDDLING ANTI-MODI, ANTI-BJP PROPOGANDA 'USING' AMBIGUOUS, UNJUST & UNFAIR 'EQUITY RULES' RELEASED BY UGC.

So it's just a matter of months before this unfair new system is scrapped. So pls keep calm & let the process complete.

I also request Modi Sarkar to pls use unambiguous language this time while framing new rules once UGC is scrapped. Pls keep in mind clarity on two conditions which must exist in those new rules.
1. No action till Enquiry is concluded.
2. Provision for Action against False Complaints.

Pls spread this latest information like a wildfire to every youth in Bharat who may be agitated right now before it results in Unrest of Gen-Z that Rahul Ghandy wants & you know the PURPOSE why he wants.
