The staffers say rules provide that for the same work there should be same pay- being violated. They also say that there are court rulings that a contractual post is a stop-gap arrangement and can’t replace a permanent position. (3/n)
A big victory for Technicians of AIESL. After a discussion with AIAMEU representatives CMD agrees to send proposal(To make FTEs permanent employee) to Ministry within One month.
Proposed strike from 5th May is called off.
A win for the AME union of the largest MRO in the country that is also govt owned, AIESL. After several years of demands and strikes urging for contractual staff to be made permanent, AIAHL CMD Amit Kumar has said a proposal will be sent to the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
The rules for Fixed Term Employment (FTE) bar replacement of permanent positions by FTEs.
Over the past 5-7 years the strength of FTEs has growth to total 65%.
AIESL Technicians welcomed their representatives after their successful meeting with AIESL management.
AIESL increased salary of Technicians by 6000-8000₹/month.
Congratulations to all of you. Credit goes to your unity during protest (15-22March).
