Great research this morning and fun to moderate @TheAAES. Everyone should be lucky enough to have had a co-fellow like the incredible @F_ThurstonDrake!
Congrats to @ManzellaMd who presented our work @TheAAES on the association of the ACA with access to high volume surgeons for thyroidectomy for benign disease - despite ⬆️ access to care, medicaid patients are still likely to be operated on at lower volume centers. @rwjsurgery
Congrats to @marinkheng who presented our work @TheAAES examining incidence trends of thyroid cancer by socioeconomic status - while incidence stabilizing in high SES, low SES quintiles are catching up - sign of decreasing disparities in diagnosis of PTC? @rwjsurgery
Come meet our Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey Complex General Surgical Oncology faculty, fellows, and fellowship program coordinator at the SSO 2023 International Conference on Surgical Cancer Care and learn more about our amazing program!
