Need a goal, Wilkin is capable of delivering that. He is capable of playing anywhere in midfield thanks to his passing and movement. But he is an important part of Pan-gon’s system thanks to his work rate. When he gets going, Malaysia does well.
Arif Aiman Hanapi (LW and RW)
He is known as the MVP for a reason. When the ball is at his feet, the crowd goes berserk. His dribbling and movement are the reason why he is a star in 🇲🇾 now. For sure, he would be a marked man in the tournament. And, the youngest in the team.
Akhyar Rashid (LW and RW)
A trickster who plays well as an inside forward. His dribbling is enjoyed by many and has been ever-present under Pan-gon’s system whether as a starter or impact substitute. Not only that, his finishing is brilliant too. A delight to watch!
Ahmad Khuzaimi Piee (CB and LB)
A trusted lieutenant of Pan-gon. There is no need for stylish challenges or tackles, but he defends with intelligence. A fine reader and loves to join attacks with his forays upfront. He could be a trump card in the Asian Cup and one to watch!
Dion Cools (CB, RB and LB)
A master technician, capable of absorbing any tactic. In the centre of defence, he is capable of a strong challenge but also plays the role of a quarterback, with his plays from the back. He has also shown a knack for scoring from set-pieces. Star!
Daniel Ting (LB and LWB)
An archetypal fullback who overlaps often and neutralises wingers with his reading of the game. Also capable of playing a little forward by unleashing top crosses and even scoring goals. Top competition for undisputed leftback Corbin.
La’vere Corbin-Ong (LB and LWB)
A guy who runs non-stop and makes lovely overlapping runs. The best in his position for many years, and truly a blessing for the national team. Wingers would surely find it tough to deal with his energy and work rate. A top, top player for 🇲🇾!
Matthew Davies (RB and RWB)
Mr. Consistency for a reason! Truly a hardworking player who has made the rightback in his position on the national team. It's never easy dethroning him thanks to his runs, reading of the game and interceptions. An intelligent defender for years!
Endrick Dos Santos (CM and CAM)
One of the elite playmakers in the Super League with superb passing ability and is capable of surprising opponents with his deft touches and nifty dribbling. Capable of starting and changing games with his superb sub forays. A quality addition!
Afiq Fazail (CM and CDM)
In football, keeping things simple and ticking is a beauty in itself. This man does it so often,that many wanted him to don the national jersey and it is happening. He may look quiet but his passes, shots and reading of the game screams joy!

The latest naturalization addition and the youngest of the bunch. A tall player, one would think he is a target man but he is a ballerina with the ball. A versatile option upfront and one that adds bite to our attack. A surprise element for 🇲🇾
Syamer Kutty Abba (CM and CDM)
Check heat maps to know the true depth of this man known as Syamer. A Duracell Bunny in terms of work rate and technically refined with the ball. In his day, he is unbeatable and a fine player for Malaysia. A vital cog in the middle of the park.
Brendan Gan (CM, CAM and RW)
An embodiment of professionalism and never-say-never. Battled injuries and even cancer, but this man showed the game he loved he would not be deterred. He brings industry and guile to our midfield. Also inspires with his speech. Dressing room hero!
Natxo Insa (CM and CDM)
The oldest player in the squad, brought in to provide wisdom and stability in midfield. On his day, he is unbeatable and capable of dictating the tempo with his movements and passes. It's his deep-lying playmaking that's revered in the nation.
Paulo Josue (CAM and CF)
A left foot wonder, capable of taking amazing set-pieces, which he has done for many years in the Malaysian League. His ball control and amazing through passes are a delight to watch too. He also brings some form of leadership thanks to his with KL.
