Dear @elonmusk, @Tesla Thailand Denied Service for Tesla’s Car bought from Grey Market before coming of Tesla Thailand…..
Once, our community of over 1,000 Tesla owners in Thailand—who imported our cars before Tesla Thailand officially launched—shared the same hope: that Tesla’s arrival would help propel the electric vehicle movement in Thailand and position our country at the forefront of Southeast Asia’s EV landscape.
We, the Grey Market owners, have always been cooperative and supportive. We shared data, reported issues, and exchanged solutions to help Tesla grow and improve in Thailand. We have never expected warranty coverage equivalent to official Thai-market cars—only to have a reliable partner we could turn to when needed, so we could enjoy our Tesla ownership with peace of mind.
Until recently, everything worked well. I myself had received service multiple times, paid in full for maintenance, and even purchased another Tesla because I was impressed with both the brand and the service.
However, the recent announcement that Tesla Thailand will no longer service grey-import cars has caused deep concern and disappointment. Once, Tesla told us, “We will not abandon you, because you are the pioneers.” Today’s decision feels like the opposite of that promise.
If this new policy is intended to push Grey Market owners into buying new Teslas to access full service, then this would not be the action of a friend. True friends would not treat us this way.
No matter who made this decision, please know that it has already damaged the trust and goodwill that we, as your earliest supporters, have built with Tesla over the years.
Respectfully,
@NotATeslaApp
