@VtCurator@Merrydawg Yeah, these people found a video of Australian women dancing on TikTok and turned it into "THIS is what's wrong with AMERICAN women and society!"
The address from the prime minister of Australia has come and passed.
A 3 minute address asking people to not hoard petrol and to take public transport if you can.
All the Twitter Dot com hype that Australia was ground invading Iran with the US and UK. All for nothing.
@ThatGarthGuy@Leo_Puglisi6 Yes, there's been a dip in Labor's numbers since the Bondi attack, but it's gone from 55-57 TPP (at or higher than 2025) to 52-53. How it trends depends on the economic fallout from the Iran war.
Interesting, for UK Labour it seemed like a sudden drop after the far-right riots.
@ThatGarthGuy@Leo_Puglisi6 Not really, Australia has a relatively well-liked centre-left government that are still in an election-leading position, and haven't experienced 16 years of domestic economic stagnation.
People are dissatisfied with the economy, but it's not at UK-level disaster level yet.
@lappinc83@History__Speaks They were asked one by one at immigration by the Australian Federal Police away from Iranian handlers if they wanted to seek asylum https://t.co/6O2COe7TEc
@ItsTinnakorn Many Thais like me are angry and bitter about the result. We have the right to.
But what I learned after the similar 2019 election in my other home country Australia is that the anger and bitterness goes away after many months. Then you use the motivation to rebuild the party.
Comparing to foreign elections, it is similar to the 2019 Australian election: a progressive party expected to win but the polls were wrong and lose unexpectedly to a conservative incumbent with a new prime minister due to older rural voters. And the urban youth are angry
As an overseas Thai voter who พูดภาษาไทยนิดหน่อย, this is a bitter result for the Orange side. So much on side, just for the old style of politics to win. A complete rethink is needed for the party's rural campaign strategy
#election69#เลือกตั้ง69#การเมืองไทย#พรรค#ประชาชน
@SaksithCNA@PPLEThai Necessary for the party to move forward (pun not intended) and completely rethink ita campaign strategy, especially in rural areas.
Bitterly disappointing result as a 3-time FFP/MFP/PPLE voter.
