To deliver on all three, a platform must be exceptionally flexible in terms of hardware and vehicle variety, three simple car classes simply won't cover every need. The greater your fleet flexibility, the better you can satisfy customer demand. Ultimately, hardware must be decoupled from the platform; otherwise, you remain strictly limited to whatever capabilities your existing hardware provides.

Manufacturers squeezes the margin even further. Take Model Y as an example. From bodywork damage costs, car insurance is not even comparable with some cars like Corolla. Why should a mobility solution company get involved in such a capital intensive business?!
How about other EV companies? Do they want to have their own app? Not a great idea! Uber already knows where the people are and where they want to go to. One of the smartest move of Uber is integration with local transportation system. See what they do in Turkey. Instead of competing with them just employ them. TBH I don’t see much potential for scalability of fleet across the world just by having to sell EV. At least for the next 15-20 years.

@hamids @dkhos Tesla reduced the prices and interest rate but still tough to sell in EU. Why should a mobility solution company get involved in such a capital-intensive low-margin business. You can have corolla drivers for passengers and aygo drivers for food delivery beside dozens of options.
