No, there is no such thing as a “live mRNA vaccine.”
“Live” in vaccine language means a live, weakened virus or bacterium that can still replicate in the body (like MMR, chickenpox, or the nasal‑spray flu vaccine).
mRNA vaccines are completely different:
They do not contain any live virus or bacteria.
They use synthetic messenger RNA to tell your cells to make a single protein piece (like the COVID spike), which your immune system then learns to recognize.
The mRNA is broken down and discarded after it’s used.
